I help companies in the experience economy build a culture people can feel, inside the business and out. That means a company-wide assessment of where your culture actually is, workshops where your leaders decide where it needs to go, and about a year of hands-on support while the change takes hold. What I leave behind is the habits and framework that keep it in place.
My name is Cynthia Vergon. I've spent my whole life between worlds. A bicultural childhood, then choosing to live in Brazil without speaking the language. I got used to stepping into new industries, new cultures, and new continents, and finding my place at the table.
After founding and operating my multilingual agency over 20 years ago, I learned that communication is the part of a company you can see. Underneath it sits the culture, which is where people either grow or don't, and which most companies leave to chance.
My move to Brazil gave me the opportunity to explore a new business, one where I could combine my experience in entrepreneurship, interest in organizational culture, and knowledge of the entertainment and experience industries.
I developed Canopy Solutions and the tree-diagram method to move a company from the culture it has to the culture it needs, and to make the change hold after I leave. Change that takes root.

borogodó
My favorite Brazilian word is borogodó. It's an ineffable charm, the human warmth that makes a person, a place, or a moment unforgettable. It's what I look for in everything, in people, in places, in the life I've chosen. My work is no different. I help you find yours, develop it, and make sure it survives the pressures of growth and change.
Active in IAAPA and TEA, with past board and committee roles in both. Founding member of the World Experience Organization.
Carrying a payroll, a P&L, and dealing with challenging situations.
English, Portuguese, and French. I run every interview and session myself, in the language people work in.
Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), Rio de Janeiro.
You don't get a firm. You get me. And my borogodó.
I am a jazz singer. Jazz taught me to listen hard, to improvise when the plan falls apart, and to make a group of very different voices sound like one. That is exactly what I do with your team.
I give you the honest read. Sometimes the problem is as obvious as the nose on your face, and I will tell you how big or ugly it is. You will not get a report that tiptoes around what everyone already feels.
I carry joy into the work. My laugh is rambunctious and contagious, and my day is a failure if I have not made someone laugh. Culture work goes to hard places, and people go there more willingly with someone who keeps it human.
I am not here to become permanent. Watching people shine is what I love most, so my job is done when your team carries the culture themselves and no longer needs me in the room.
"Cynthia was thoughtful, perceptive and very easy to work with throughout, and I came away with both new insights and very practical next steps. Her recommendations never felt like an attempt to 'corporatize' us or change who we are."Chris Lange, Chief Creative Officer and Founder of CSB, Creative Studio Berlin
My purpose is to build cultures where people do their best work, feel valued for it, and pass that on to the people and projects they serve.
